DM club Member agent Mr.Rajesh died on 13/03/2014, he would have been 40 yrs of age. Took agency in august 1996.
His Widow got rs. 5 lakhs as Term Assurance, Rs. 70000 for being a club member agent, Rs 2 lakh as gratuity. And continues to get approx. 1lakh pm as hereditary renewal commission. Rajesh used to sell retire n enjoy packages which he said was more a pension plan for the agent than to the customer.
He was also running Simultaneous GIC agency from where his widow got nothing. No gratuity no term money nothing except his mediclaim reimbursement which was also responsible for his death.
He was taken to fortis hospital in noida where doctors said he needed immediate angioplasty and asked his family to deposit rs 2 lakhs first and get reimbursed after mediclaim is approved so they rushed to st stephans hospital where stents were placed and he recovered.
After 4 days Doctors advised to go for another pair of stents to strengthen saying get reimbursed from mediclaim and need not pay anything now and may require stent after a few years and you may not be eligible to get the reinforcement. So he chose to go for another surgery and died on the operation table.
Gic also gave the widow their agency but more or less consumed his client's.
So now she is working for LIC only.
